The lack of wind all around the UK recently threatened to scupper the first BKSA Kiteival of 2010 this weekend in Redcar, Teeside. Whilst the wind conditions did put a stop to many of the heats, the sea breezes kept the course racers and landboarders happy and with a weekend of sunshine the event was a complete success. Two days of fantastic conditions made Swansea Bay the place to be if you wanted to see the best kitesurfers and landboarders in the UK. With broken cloud and only a few showers the crowds were out to support the competitors, entertained by Lewis Crathern on the mic, all under the watchful eye of 5 times World Kite Surf Champion, Arron Hadlow.
Congratulations to Toby Raw, local Littlehampton rider competing for the first time in the Pro Mens – he nailed it and took first place. Blue Juice sponsored rider Dan Sweeney fought off tough competition and won all his heats, and finished second overall, setting himself up for the season ahead.
Blue Juice were there to capture the event in stills and on film.

A selection of Blue Juice kite surfing photographs will be appearing in a Time Out book out in May 2009. The book compiles details of various things to do as a day out all within 2 hours from London.
